COVID-19: If Biden Shuts The U.S. Down

These are the shelves where toilet paper to sit. Every brand you could think of, enough to supply a whole neighborhood, and more. Due to the first COVID-19 shutdown, there was a limit on the amount of toilet paper you could purchase, something Americans use every day. We had shortages like this all over the world, and not only toilet paper. There was an increase in toilet paper sales of 112% since last year. Americans struggled to find the necessities to survive, like food and water. Jobs were scarce; cleaning supplies were nowhere to be found. 2020 was the year of the pandemic that will never be forgotten.

Staying Protected

Covid is still around, still infecting people. It's affected more than 210 countries and territories around the world, but the mask work! Washing your hands properly work! Disinfecting works! If we follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines, we do not need to shut America down again like Biden wants us to do.

Biden may be elected our president for 2021, and he plans to shut down America again, but this time it won’t just be your favorite beaches and dining in your local restaurants. It will be everything, including the grocery store you go to each week to buy food for you and your family. The restaurant you are thinking of getting food to live off of will also be closed. The only places open will be hospitals and first responders.

No More Food?

You probably think this isn’t a big deal, you can stock up on food and survive, but there are people out there that can’t afford to do that. I’ve thought about this situation for a while, in-depth. What I predict with what is going to happen is lockdown dates will be announced. People will panic shop to over-stock up, and there will be last-minute shoppers without food for their families. Those individuals will panic more, start looting empty stores for food for their starving families, and when stores are completely cleared, it will come down to them looting houses for items to survive. By this time, Americans will do what's in our nature to fight each other to live.

Starving America will become so dangerous to live in, and I haven’t even discussed the financial state most people would be in. If we are shut down for two weeks, stores will be cleared by the start date. By the time we come out of lockdown, it will take weeks, possibly months, to restock stores and restaurants with food. America will be a food desert.

Financial Showdown or Downhill

With the financial state, Covid dramatically dropped 30% in stocks in February and March. A 27% difference than the 57% drop in 2007–2009, also known as The Great Depression. It wasn’t as bad as my predictions are in another possible future shutdown. Not every profit-making company was shut down. Some people did still have jobs. The economy was still standing, on one leg. If we shut down again, and completely this time, I believe it will result in another financial crisis just like the Great Depression.
